Politically, the Tea Party has but one personality. NO deals with commies and socialists. NO tax increases. NO raising of the debt limit. A balanced budget amendment. And no, not ten years from now. We want it now! NO excuses!
We don’t want to hear how the house is but one branch. The friggin house controls the purse strings. The GOP has the majority in the house. (Albeit, there are many rinos infesting and tainting the water.)

My point is very cogent. I don’t want to US to have its credit rating downgraded and become the laughingstock of the free world for some pie-in-the sky wishes for principle. No matter who you want to blame, our spending is so out of control that neither party has any idea how to solve it. Any meaningful spending cuts will be met with howls of protest from those affected and the politicians will back off - again. Dems control the senate and WH and the house can’t agree on anything. The dems will continue to blame the republicans and they will use it in the presidential campaign, possibly giving Obama another term. That would be worse than losing our credit rating, IMHO.

You are buying the DEMOCRATIC TALKING POINTS. We are going to lose our credit rating if we pass the Boehner bill or any other bill that does ZILCH on spending. If anything, a refusal to raise the debt ceiling will actually improve our credit rating.

They’ll have to come back to you. DEMAND a REAL CUT in spending!! Do not under any circumstance approve a debt ceiling increase!! Instead, insist on real spending cuts NOW!! The country is bankrupt. Do not allow them to take us deeper into debt! It’s time for the HOUSE to do its job of controlling the spending!
The federal government is bankrupt due to Obama’s reckless spending. Cut up his credit cards and force him to quit spending! It’s time to put Obama and company into receivership! Make them come to the House to authorize current payments on the debts as they come due so that we don’t default. Do not authorize any spending whatsoever on discretionary items until the spending crisis is solved.
