The premise of this article is a lie. There are no spending cuts being proposed - at least not in the sense that most of us understand. The "cuts" under discussion are reductions in planned spending in future years, based upon the current inflated baseline, which we cannot afford to maintain. The suggestion that actual budget reductions are under consideration is false, and the idea that government spending is the engine of economic growth is a Keynesian fantasy disprovable by simple reference to historical fact.

While true, the sad reality is that a considerable portion of the populace has been brainwashed otherwise.
I fear it will get really ugly before it is over.
