For Obama, the Tea Party fits in Washington like nuns at a swingers' convention. The fiscal orgy at Club Fed just can't continue unless the Tea Party gets the hell out. Unfortunately for Obama, we just won't leave. How could we? We can't afford to refuel our corporate jets.

1. Government at the Federal level has grown WAY too big, period. It's time to pass at minimum the One Percent Spending Reduction Act (H.R. 1848/S. 1316), which would impose a one percent cut in baseline Federal spending per year starting in 2012 to 2018, then keep it at the 6% reduced baseline level compared to the current rate. I would also look at cutting budgets on a really big scale by following John Stossel's recommendation based on his blog post:
Based on Stossel's list, you can see that by phasing out many departments, merging others, and adjusting the requirements to get Social Security benefits could mean cutting US$900 BILLION or more per year off the budget rather easily without going to Stossel's extreme.
2. The income tax code--and even the Lefty reporters at CNBC now finally admit this--needs to MASSIVELY overhauled--and I do mean MASSIVELY overhauled. We should right now start by lowering the maximum corporate and personal income tax rate to 25% (using a three-tiered income tax scale at 10%, 17.5% and 25%) and remove 75 to 85 percent of the credits, deductions, exemptions and preferences from the Internal Revenue Code for the 2012-2013 tax years. Starting the 2014 tax year, switch over to the flat rate income tax plan as envisioned by Steve Forbes: 17.5% of earned income, with only a household exemption of US$13,000 per adult in a two-adult household and US$9,000 per child in the household, and eliminate the alternate minimum tax, marriage penalty, estate tax, and taxes on bank account interest, capital gains and stock dividend payments.
With these reforms in place, our economy will finally grow and prosper again as the Federal government in terms of spending and taxation will no longer squeeze the life out of the private sector like it is now. Indeed, this should be the model that the entire world should emulate in the long run.
Most of the TEA Party elected members are standing fast against the bullying rinos and need our support and encouragement to continue to do so. Call them, fax them, and email them letting them know you're proud of their doing what they were sent there to do and support them.
They simply could not understand why the Tea Party Congresspeople were so unconcerned about their future political careers.

The Old Testament story of Nehemiah and the rebuilding of Jerusalem comes to mind. Israel was held in bondage and Nehemiah, through divine guidance, asked for and received permission from the Babylonian king, Artaxerxes, to rebuild Jeruasalem. After the restoration was complete, which involved a concerted effort from the faithful remnant of Israelites and included the rebuilding of THE HOUSE OF GOD—THE TEMPLE, the prophet Ezra shows up and orders THE BOOK to be brought forth and read publicly for all the faithful to hear. It was a re-dedication of the Israelites to their God, their calling, their land.
America needs just that...a calling of the faithful remnant to work with great dedication toward a restoration of the PEOPLE’S HOUSE (and all of our places of governance), a public reading of THE CONSTITUTION, and a reminder to all of our founding, our calling, our privilege and duty as the most blessed nation on the planet.
Anything less, I am afraid, will fail to turn our country around.

Roll back to 2007 budget with the same number of 2007 federal employees with 2007 pay rates.
Deficit was 160 Billion dollars in 2007. Even if we did this, our deficit would be higher as revenues may not have kept pace.
Unlimited debt increases allow our government to make promises by stealing more from my future earnings. It’s bad enough that they take way too much from my present earnings.

Absolutely agree 100%... but it will take a Conservative President and leadership in the Congress to get that done. The communists in DC today are not going to allow anything of substance to pass. The best thing our side can do right now is to do NOTHING at all.

Duffy’s in a D+3 district and being in WI, the liberal base is really revved up. He’s probably really taking heat and he’s scared.
