Here's the deal. Let's say Boehner's Plan passes the House and is sent to the Senate. The Senate will vote no on concurrence, and refer the bill to committee where it will be amended. The amended bill, still called "Boehner's Plan," though it will have been changed to something Senate Democrats can support, will return to the Senate floor and be approved.

Then, the Senate-amended substitute (still called "Boehner's Plan" by the screaming-idiot media) will then return to the House, where the House will vote not to concur and a House-Senate Conference Committee will be appointed to work out the differences.

And we're back to square one.

The House has already voted on a plan, and Reid had it tabled, without a recorded vote.

No one who supports "Boehner's Plan" can tell me where all this high drama, when the Senate majority has already said it will not concur, is to our advantage.

Obama wants to let his artificial deadline pass, and make the GOP responsible, or get his way, this issue out of his way, through the election.

The primary reason another bill should not have been brought forward. Reid's hand should have been forced. btw .. Boehner, Reid's hand can still be forced with the CCB already in the Senate. Mr. Boehner force Reid's hand.

Roll Call Vote #116 22-Jul H.R. 2560 On the Motion to Table Agreed to Motion to Table the Motion to Proceed to Consider H.R. 2560; A bill to cut, cap, and balance the Federal budget.

The chances of a conference committee are negligible - I'd say "zero," but that is a theoretical impossibility. The House and Senate can pass a bill back and forth, amending until they agree on the same language, for as long and as many times as both chambers tolerate.

This would be giving them to much credit but boy would it be cool if it was true. The whole thing was a play. In that Boehner wanted it to look like a divide in the GOP house, drag out time, and drop this deal at the last minute, which only left time for CCB, forcing reid to bring it back as the last minute effort to avoid going to long.

I know not reality but man I can dream...
