Just called Cong. Mike Turner’s office (he’s the rep from Dayton, OH) and the cheery staffer took down exactly what I said: “No to the Boehner compromise. Hang on just a little longer. We’ve almost won. Make them go with Cut, Cap, and Balance.”
Your Congressman is one of the patriotic 25 who are holding strong in the face of pressure from Boehner et al. to betray their conservative principles and constituents. If you have a chance, you might consider calling his office and giving him encouragement and support.
Did Michele Bachmann cave? Ron Paul too?
It’s been hugely disappointing to see Allen West and Paul Ryan roll over for Boehner and the Boys. But I really thought Bachmann and Paul were solid.
Just tried him, his "mailbox" is full. Real or contrived? I dunno.
About one half of the 25 are Freshmen.
