I used to think that if the debt ceiling is not raised in the eleventh hour and fifty-ninth minute, the federal pigs would have to start cutting. Then I found out that Timmy tax cheat had already ‘borrowed an additional 500 billion beyond the ceiling, hiding it in an accounting procedure. We may be at the pitchforks and torches stage already.

Yes, neither party is serious about cutting spending.
We will have to wait for the self-correction which will take place, and will be horrific.
We are conservatives, which means we have been making a huge (hugh) mistake lately. We keep telling the govt to solve this problem. As conservatives we should know govt doesn’t solve problems, it only makes them worse! We are wasting our time and words. There are few conservatives in Congress, not nearly enough to do what must be done.
Save yourselves folks, the govt is not going to save you. The politicos will not cut spending until forced from the outside, and then it will be very ugly and painful for most people. Prepare for a long period (8-10 years) of grinding hard times.

This will not happen
It’s time to shutter entire departments! It’s time to cut the payroll! Cut the pensions! Cut the bennies! Strip the unconstitutional and unnecessary departments and programs!! Cut the bloated government! Bring our troops home! Abolish the EPA!! Abolish the TSA!! Abolish and shutter as many ABC departments as we possibly can!! REPEAL OBAMACARE!! ObamaCare is totally unnecessary, unwanted and unconstitutional. Pure socialist pork! REPEAL IT!! REPEAL IT NOW!!

They would bring some watered down version of a bill and pass it. It will happen in the coming days. It will do NOTHING to help America.
