(CNN) -- Texas police arrested a U.S. soldier who went AWOL this month after being charged with possessing child pornography, a Defense Department official told CNN Thursday.
Pfc. Naser Abdo was assigned to Fort Campbell in Kentucky but was arrested in Killeen, Texas, near Fort Hood, the military base where a 2009 shooting spree left 13 people dead and 32 others wounded.

Noting CNN’s disinterest in Pfc Abdo’s possible motives.

If I were king, I’d remove all muslim military personnel from the ranks . . . all of them . . . When the hell are we going to wise up?

MSNBC adds "The suspect had applied for conscientious objector status based in part on the fact that he is a Muslim, officials told NBC. He has never been deployed to Iraq or Afghanistan."

Interesting. Arabs in general and especially Saudis LOVE child porn.
“Women for procreation, boys for pleasure.”
Just a cultural misunderstanding.

Pfc. Naser Abdo, 20, has filed for conscientious objector status, which would allow him to leave the Army without consequence, on the belief that his Islamic faith and one-time desire to serve his country can't be reconciled. From your link. The guy's an honest Muslim, and the Muslim faith and the US constitution can't be reconciled, either.

From your link from Aug. 31, 2010,
Devout Muslim Soldier Hopes to Avoid Deployment to Afghanistan Stationed at Fort Campbell in Kentucky, Abdo said he once believed strongly that joining the Army and fighting to protect Islamic freedoms in Iraq and Afghanistan would make him a good Muslim. "I felt it would be challenge to my body and a challenge to my mind and I thought God would be proud of me," Abdo said. "I felt I was doing something good for the Muslim nation."
Notice, he's concerned for the "Muslim Nation", not for the US.

That most perfect of all men, mohammad married a six year old. What’s the problem with child pornography? If it was good enough for mad mo, it should be good enough for any male muslim.
To say otherwise would be racist, bigoted, and culturally insensitive, and would probably violate sharia, and make the accuser subject to a fatwa...

Gunpowder and sugar? Smoke bombs?
He had an odd collection of stuff, but not in the amounts I would think indicate an impending attack.
Perhaps the feds should be looking into his associates, it doesn’t sound like a one man mission.
