That a citizen apparently lawfully exercising an enumerated right shouldn’t get bothered by the police unless there is something else he has done to warrant questioning and a minor shake down. And I might agree with you that approaching an officer in the middle of a traffic stop might be such a case.

But this case here?

the first question out of the officer’s mouth was are you a police officer, if so all would be ok...

it became questionable when it was just a regular citizen without super powers...
