Been there and played this game. My Ex signed an afidavit to the great state of Texas, claiming I was over 10K in arrears on my child support. I was able to bring to court, a copy of my bank statements and cancelled checks that showed that not only was I not in arrears, but I had over paid by several thousand dollars.

Consequences to her for filing a false document with the court, lying about it under oath, and other similar things? Nothing. Nada. Zip. Women lie about this kind of thing all the time. Don't believe a word about this until it's been adjudicated.

Double damn disgusting. My brother had an ex- who was playing patty cake on him. He wanted out and wanted custody of his daughter to give her a chance to grow up with somebody but a skank. He was a decent guy, made an acceptable living and was able to prove her encounters, drug use and other miserable lifestyle issues. His daughter was young (4 years old) but still knew enough to prefer Dad.

None of this mattered to the dumb-assed court. She got custody and child support. The court told him he was lucky because he didn't get hit with alimony as well. He ruined himself financially trying to save his daughter. I've hated these kangaroo courts ever since.
