Totally disagree . . . the Declaration of Independence mentions Life, Liberty and the Pursuit of Happiness. Without LIFE, nothing else if of any concern. The whole sordid and bloody mess should be overturned exactly as it was ruthlessly enacted . . . by the Supreme Court . . . it is a profound national issue.

Perry is right. I have said that for years.
Different states have different morals and should make their own laws without big brother overlords.
I want Roe overturned, but the states majorly came together to provide a common defense with each retaining their own government.

Since the founding the laws of homocide, from first degree murder through manslaughter, have been enacted and enforced by the states. The Constitution, including the Fourteenth Amendement only is involved if the state enforcement of homicide laws does not provide due process. Murder as such is not a federal crime and never has been. Killing the child in the womb is a homocide and therefore not a federal crime. Roe v. Wade fabricated one of those "penumbras" that don't exist to make it a federal matter.
