The data should not be hard to find. The question then begs, why would any state have an open primary? What’s the purpose other than to water down the GOP vote?

No one is stalking you, since I am a Palin supporter you can expect to see me at most threads with Palin in the title.

I’m not surprise to see Romney’s people at them occasionally.

Palin didn’t get him re-elected. They needed someone better to run against him.

If General Washington had an army of John McCains there would not be a United States of America.

I tell ya that Sarah Palin has tremendous powers..she forced the people of Arizona to go to the polls and vote for the guy she was campaigning for..its unreal, how does she do it..she literally made people get out of bed that morning and walk like zombies to their polling places and vote for McCain (if you can tell Im being sarcastic of course...

You're right. She's not a king maker. She has no influence. Nobody follows her because she doesn't exude leadership. And then there's her negatives, right? Surely if she affected the AZ election at all it was to McLame's detriment?

Rabs is a fool! </sarcasm>

The real blame lies in AZ’s open primary system that allows crossover voting in GOP primaries.

That's not correct for Arizona. It was discussed often during the primary campaign last year and in Arizona those registered as Independents can vote in any other primary except the Libertarian Party primary.

It was interesting that the Republicans, Dims and Independents all had registrations of around 30% of the registered voters. So there were a lot of people registered as Independents, and they were the only ones who could vote in other primaries (other than Libertarian).

McCain the orc attacks the Tea Party.

John McCain unloads on the tea party (C-Span video)

McCain said, quoting the Journal article. "The Republican House that failed to raise the debt ceiling would somehow escape all blame. Then Democrats would have no choice but to pass a balanced-budget amendment and reform entitlements, and the tea-party Hobbits could return to Middle Earth having defeated Mordor."

If you've got a beef with Sarah Palin, why don't you just post up a vanity instead? Quoting John McCain to get there is .... well, it's inane.

Bump to your post. But it's even worse than inane, it's childish, immature, stupid, insulting, and generally petulant.

But then, that's who and what he is.........

I’m not surprise to see Romney’s people

I'm always surprised to see a Romney person.

I'm never surprised to see you respond to me. It works better than a ping.

I wouldn't be surprised if you were the number one responder to my posts.

Excellent point you make, a few freepers take an indirect route in their posting, to camouflage their truer politics.

Just look at the defense for the supporter of John McCain for re-election..

My what solid Conservatives we have here.

Hey you dumb asses, does it matter if she got him re-elected or not?

I guess the premise now is that she could support Obama in 2012 too, since she couldn’t get him re-elected on her own.

"The data should not be hard to find. The question then begs, why would any state have an open primary? What’s the purpose other than to water down the GOP vote?"

I've looked. Haven't found any. The "purpose" is to allow all voters to have a say in the choice of candidates. Suppose I, as an independent, wish to support a particular Republican in a primary....why shouldn't I be able to???

And primarily, it is an issue of "taxation without representation".....any election funded by taxpayer dollars should be open to all registered voters. If the parties want to nominate candidates in a "party-exclusive" process, they should do it with their own funds, and not tax dollars. Have caucuses, have a convention system, vote over the internet, but don't tax me for party processes that I then cannot participate in.

There have been several posts showing how and why JD actually lost. His poor votes on spending (very bad record, very bad), and his ad he made money on championing free gubmint money did it. You can easily find them, heck, you probably read them, yet you persist in this mental fiction of yours.

Rush Limbaugh did explain a simple concept (Rush hates McCain too, just in case you don't understand), for her to not endorse him would have been far worse, seen as ingratitude and incomprehensible pettiness on her part.

I understand that concept, most people here understand that concept, but for some reason, you and a few others can't.

It's very simple, the voters of AZ elected McCain by some 24 points, JD was a poor candidate to run against him.

Get the F out of here and off this board.

Sarah paid her political fealty as she should have, even if McCain is lyin, Jack Wagon, who had his head messed with at the Hotel Hanoi.

If she hadn’t she would have been seen as ungrateful, a silent backstabber and ungraceful.

You are eventually going to ZOT heaven so you can enjoy your 72 versions of a reflected life.

As usual, a circular argument from a circular person.....

Since you wouldn't even deal with the information presented to you with a clear presentation, I now think post # 75 is better for you as well.

How is McCain working out for you?

All this blather about Hayworth is worthless. He was a decent man in Washington, D. C. before. He was never a destroyer like McCain, yet he’s your crutch in defense of the defenseless.

I'm not sticking up for McCain, never did, never will.

I am saying, as presented by other posters, that JD was an easy target and a bad candidate to unseat him.

You just can't deal with that so you make up things in your oh so circular mind/body.

Oh, you weren’t sticking up for McCain. Oh I see. Then stating that Hayworth wasn’t a good candidate and trying to provide examples why, was just your way of saying McCain was an even worse candidate. LOL Thanks for clearing that up for me.

Just in case you forgot...
