No, the WSJ is embarrassingly wrong.

For starters, the author of the editorial failed at accurately presenting his (her?) own analogy.

“and the tea-party Hobbits could return to Middle Earth having defeated Mordor.”

When did the Hobbits leave Middle Earth?

true. They left the Shire, but they never left Middle Earth (well - at the end of the trilogy they sail away with the elves, but I don’t think they’re talking about that part)

Isnt it wonderful in these Crisis, you really find out who your true Friends are.
Who does the WSJ or any of the other so called Conservatives think started this whole campaign to take the Country back with the Town Halls, and Marches on Washington.
I guess the establishment thought this was a Nice little game, nothing serious ,The Tea Party is not serious, they are not important, Now we are Hobbits, Extremists, Homophobes, lumatics who want to destroy the Country etc.
Funny its not us who announced on the National Stage that we are going to Fundementally Transform the United States of America. You Know Change our Traditions,Change Our History.
Well I for one dont want to change those things I want to RETURN to them.
