Good riddance.
... or like launching the the huge external fuel tank right up to the edge of a stable orbit, and tossing it back into the atmosphere so it would burn up rather than keep it in space to use as future building materials. The short-sightedness of government would be astounding if it weren't so horribly obvious that it is purposeful. They have no intention of ever allowing a true habitat to be built in space.
Still much less than what NY city spent on social services in that same period.
In other words, everyone spent money on a bunch of crap.
>> If it is abandoned and not to be used again, it would be irresponsible to allow it to possibly fall on a populated area.
Target practice.
How to nudge her into higher orbit really should have been thought of a few years ago. The latest adaptations were extensive, and done just within the past few years.
What a monumental waste. But that´s what barry does. Destroy. The man´s never built anything in his life. Likely not even a model plane! I believe destruction is in his soul.
God, please don´t let him go jihadi on us. Amen.
Sadly, you’re right.
We’re very close to the last step too.
It’s worse than that.
We very likely paid 80 to 90% of the total costs, then named it the international space station. We just put the last parts on it in 2010. Within months we can’t even get there to defend it.
Russia could deorbit the station today if they wanted too, and we couldn’t do squat about it.
We’ve had 40 years to design and build the replacement of the shuttle, and we’re headed towards developing an Apolo level capsule.
Wow...
I agree with your comments. You’ve touched on several issues and I see them the same way you do.
The one thing you missed was that we have been laying off our scientific talent.
Putting that team together took time. We won’t be doing it again and that is a perpetual loss for the nation.
