After all, a more conservative bill will never get past the Senate and the President.

So what we REALLY want as an OPPOSITION party is a flaming bag of dog poo that the Senate and the President will accept?

Unfortunately, at this moment in time, a better bill will not get through the Senate.

So we either do nothing, and have no budget (which we criticized the dems for doing), or we put through a budget with minimal cuts, some debt relief, and no taxes.
