And also realize the NHC admits they have a much harder time with intensity than they do with track. I just don’t see how this storm doesn’t make at least Cat 1 - the Gulf is warm, the air is humid and the shear is low. We’ll get a better picture tomorrow morn, but folks along the coast should be running through their checklists tonight.

Note this got up to 70 mph with half the distance that Don has before it reaches the TX coast.
