Kim Jong-il in Ominous Visit to Navy Command
North Korean leader Kim Jong-il inspected the Navy Command in Pyongyang accompanied by his son and heir Jong-un, the North's Central Broadcasting Station reported Monday. There is an ominous history to Kim's visits to Nay installations.
The North Korean media last reported a visit by Kim to the Navy Command on May 2, 2002. Eight weeks later, on June 29 that year, a skirmish occurred in the West Sea when a North Korean patrol boats crossed the Northern Limit Line and attacked South Korean patrol boats.

This time, Kim was quoted as saying, "Officers and sailors of this command that has produced 103 heroes should carry on this proud tradition and perform feats by winning every battle in a future war to defend the fatherland."
On Nov. 27, 2009, right after the North Korean Navy's defeat in another skirmish near Daecheong Island on Nov. 10, Kim gave a similar address to the West Sea Fleet Command in Nampo. Four months later, on March 26 last year, the North torpedoed and sank the South Korean Navy corvette Cheonan.
I hope South Korea doesn’t take any crap this time.
P!
(Relax, it's from the Onion News Network)
Even now, Hitlery and Obama are whispering SK Prez to show “admirable restraint” again. However that would be out of touch with local political reality. People in SK do not want admirable restraint anymore, whether jackasses and CFR in U.S. want it or not.
at least they don’t send Albright
yuck
The North sunk one of thier Warships, and they did nothing, if that isn’t a provocation, I don’t know what is.
An interesting picture. I note that all in the pix are holding their hands in the same position. Is this a gesture of praise and obeisance to the NoKo Maximum leader or a gesture indicating they are not holding knives?
Seems like every time I turn around lately, I’m reading something about Korea.
I think they’re just engaging in standard applause for the dictator and praying they’re not the first one to stop more than twice in a row.
The officer on the right seems well-fed.
You might well be right. Kim’s well known for his petulance and flash anger.
