I can’t imagine it being more depressing than Alzheimer’s and Parkinson’s. The majority of the AIDS patients have engaged in risky lifestyles that they know will most likely result in their deaths — and deaths of others. The other groups are there due to twists of fate.
I have a family member who has Alzheimer’s. With AIDS patients, they know who’s visiting them. With Alzheimer’s, the patient does not have a clue who the family members visiting them are..now which scenario is more painful emotionally?
50 billion and counting for AIDS research while other diseases like Lou Gehrig or breast cancer are not given the time of day due to pc..unbelievable.
