DONNA — U.S. Customs and Border Protection officers were processing 33 Mexican soldiers late Tuesday afternoon after the troops inadvertently crossed onto the U.S. side of the Donna-Rio Bravo International Bridge.
Details of the incident remain unclear, but CBP spokesman Felix Garza said his agency was processing the soldiers for return to Mexico after they found themselves in U.S. territory with four Mexican Humvees.

Study: 70% of Texas’ illegal immigrant families receive welfare
In Texas, 54 percent of legal immigrants and 70 percent of illegal immigrants receive welfare assistance, with illegal immigrants generally receiving benefits on behalf of their U.S.-born children, according to the study, written by a think tank that favors reducing immigration into the U.S.
Texas showed 61 percent of households headed by an immigrant utilizing at least one program compared to the 42 percent of Texas natives on welfare.

About the same. Mexico’s military isn’t trying to provoke a fight with the U.S. They did the calculations a while back and know that they would lose. Their army is aimed at internal stability, or would be if the narcotraficantes weren’t bribing the best soldiers and shooting the best who wouldn’t be bribed.
