Did you realize that the annual grants made by Department of Education are equal to about 1/3 of the total annual payroll for all the federal employees of all kinds including the military and the postal service.

That's just the annual grants from ONE DEPARTMENT.

Interior has some problems along that line, but the Grand Daddy of them all is USDA ~

Just cut out grants and you have more savings than you could ever dream off, and that wouldn't touch any entitlements!

So slash them all. They real reason we don’t slash and eliminate Federal agencies is lots of Federale drones would be out on the streets. Scrounging for work and living in the real world of work and competition. Federale workers are a protected class partly due to them being so top heavy with AA hired minorities and white females. Gays too.

The USDA regularly asks our QA manager to “lobby for more funding!”.

Same with the FDA.

I told one inspector that asking us to lobby for him was bit unethical. Got an interesting response. Seems they were told to do it.
