Have you seen the WW2 version, a tank with a drum of flailing chains on the front. If a mine exploded it would do no harm as it would be out in front of the tank where the armor is thickest.
Fearsome beast!

Actually, that looks like a great idea.

"Can we reprogram it for liberals?!"That's what powers it. They put a bunch of liberal reporters in it and told them there was dirt on Sarah Palin buried there.

Wonder if I could borrow it to clean up the rocks in my garden! We would see just how tough it really is when it meets some of these Arkan-saw rocks!

And when it’s done, the minefield is ready to plant a crop.

Awesome - like a huge “string trimmer” upscaled for land mines.

I’m guessing that the 156mm anti-tank rounds used in IEDs in Iraq, might dent it a bit....

Wow. My first thought was “Hey, the ultimate Roto-tiller!”
I would think mine clearing is secondary. I’ll bet some 3rd world thinker places a call for mine clearing next spring just before planting time.
To: G Larry
What happens if it breaks down in a mine field?

Golly, I could use that machine in the pasture where I want to add a garden. It could beat the peewadlin out of the clay, add some amendments and send it in again to mix the 2 together making raised beds.

I need one of these for my garden. My wife keeps complaining the tiller I bought isn’t big enough.

Panther: "The Panther is a 60-ton remote-controlled vehicle that is based on a modified M-60 tank hull. Using a joy stick, an operator navigates the Panther through a minefield. The vehicle, as you can see in the picture above, uses metal rollers to set off blast or magnetic mines"

Heh-heh! Remote controlled toys are so cool!

You come in behind it, where it’s already cleared, and tow it out.

I wonder if there is a tow connect behind it.
Not trying to be snarky, just wondering.
