Florida Attorney General Pam Bondi was one of the first to voice opposition to the proposal. In March, she joined three other Republican state attorney generals in a letter stating that proposed mortgage write downs are a "moral hazard" that "rewards those who simply choose not to pay their mortgage."

Kenneth Cuccinelli of Virgina, Greg Abbott of Texas and Alan Wilson of South Carolina signed the letter with Bondi. Georgia Attorney General Sam Olens on Tuesday joined the group telling Bloomberg News he has "significant concerns" about the proposal.

There were a number people that got homes that they could not afford. They had no job or income, and some banks joined them in a big swindle, supported by our government. No pity for these guys.
