I love women and I don't think they should be barefoot, pregnant, and chained in the house on a clothesline that runs between the bedroom and the kitchen.

I was with you for a while, but there you lost me.

It doesn’t matter what you explain to them, that we’re not “bad guys”. This is engaging them on the surface issues that they use as a disguise (either knowingly or not) for the real agenda. This is “answering a fool according to his folly”, and being a fool like them.

The brass tacks come down to - if you oppose collectivism/communism, you are the enemy, and no amount of “conservative sensitivity” dialog is going to change that.

You know, you are really quite right. I think the author is trying to be humorous, but he is actually demonstrating a basic difference between real people and liberals.

Real people are humble, open to dialogue, generally governmed by reasonability; eager to forgive, help, share, encourage; generally not envious, angry, bitter or negative.

So this sort of “dialogue” is really a non-starter...not because of who we are, but because of who they are.

We simply need to quietly, systematically and non-emotionally defeat them.

Completely.

I take it that means you'd dive in there and do all the chores your "chained" wife could not perform. What a great guy - helping out with the household chores!

Thanks, I wrote them down. As Rush would say, “right on, right on.” I think that liberalism is on its way to becoming as discredited as Nazism. It’s about time, liberalism is the creed of ignorance, the gospel of envy, its inherent virue is the equal sharing of misery.

We simply need to quietly, systematically and non-emotionally defeat them.

We are on the march since 2010. In 2012 we will continue until the job is done. It is not as simple as changing government personnel - we have to make sure we are engaged with MSM, the courts and everywhere we see communism rear its pathetic little head until the serpent is roundly crushed. It may not be in my life time, but the fight must continue to regain our freedom from the monster that is tromping on Constitution and way of life. Too many sons and daughters have shed their blood to let some inept, narcissistic, America hating little Napoleon wanta be and his minions take our country from us.

If we have a constitutional republic and you believe in the Constitution along with law and order, then you should believe in solving even extreme political disputes via political means, not via violence.

The author seems to miss a point here that "political" solutions are government solutions, and what characterizes government is coercion: violence by another name.

4) I'm an anti-authoritarian, non-conformist.

In my honest opinion, that profoundly true statement is the Tea Party's single biggest potential winning principle. At least a third of self-identifying "liberals" cling to the utterly false 1960's era belief that "liberals" are about questioning authority and individual freedoms. Liberals in fact have become exactly the opposite.

Conservatives and (especially) small government libertarians, are what liberals cling to believing they themselves are.

I have one to add:

Even though I don’t agree with liberal media outlets, I don’t think they should be shut down and taken off the air. Everyone can just decide weather they want to view/listen and then vote with their feet. Liberals regarding Fox News/Talk Radio on the other hand...

Walter Williams stated in a column that the reason there is so much angst and ideological tension (hatred) in this country is that every issue has become a political matter, ie, one side trying to use 50% + 1 vote to force the other side to conform to their chosen way of living.

Of course, this is correct, but it is simply the LEFT that is insisting that everyone be a part of their collective utopia, and the right is using the political process to thwart that coercion.

Enforcing the 9th and 10th amendment would be the end of this tension, but it would also be the end of liberalism.

8) I will work, campaign, contribute and pray for your defeat at the polls on every election day in which you are up for election or reelection. While I don’t wish harm to you as a person, it is undeniably my duty as an American to take all lawful acts as a citizen to ensure you never reach the levers of power.
