A woman was sentenced to one year in prison on Tuesday for suffocating her unwanted baby right after birth.
The 26-year-old, whose name was not released, delivered a baby boy at a toilet in her factory in Icheon, Gyeonggi Province in February. Soon after the birth, the woman stuffed toilet paper into his mouth.
The accused actively murdered the infant, a judge at Gwangju District Court said.
The crime is very grave. It is unclear whether she sincerely regrets her act or even feels any guilt.
The woman conceived the child with her boyfriend, but was ashamed of being an unmarried mother and anxious about her future
She’s just practicing what liberals like to call “A womans right to choose” “This is what a feminist looks like” and all that.
Yeah, it’s terrible. But whether or not such ‘Criminal Reform’ is coming here is debatable. I know there are judges who let people off easy in the U.S.A., but most of the travesties in justice here are had by juries.
It is still very messed up.
In fact it is so serious, we are going to put her away for a full year! Meanwhile, he boyfriend will be sentenced to life for teasing a hamster.
It’s an insane world.
We should put women in jail for a year for having an abortion.
...and let GOD take care of them too.
The one good part is prisons there aren’t nearly as nice as American prisons. People are actually scared of going to them.
“We should put women in jail for a year for having an abortion.
...and let GOD take care of them too”
How about the men who often pressure these emotionally distraught women into having abortions? How about the parents who compel their teenage daughters? You gonna jail the drs & clinic workers who pressure these girls, too?
I’m not defending these women but merely pointing out to you that the problem lies much deeper than what you are making it out to be. THere are many, many accomplices in the crime of abortion. How do you propose we deal with them?
I suggest we start by changing hearts & minds. People need to see the humanity of the unborn child, that it’s not a “blob of tissue”. Throwing people in jail is not the answer.
