President Obama and House Speaker John Boehner will take their battle over debt to the national airwaves on Monday night in back-to-back dueling addresses to the nation as they struggle to win the battle over public opinion in the final days before the nation's mounting debt hits the legal ceiling.
The president will make his case at 9 p.m., followed quickly by a rebuttal from Boehner. The president is expected to build on the support signaled earlier in the day by the White House for a plan being championed by Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid, D-Nev. But Boehner and the House Republicans have rejected the Reid plan, leaving the competing sides seemingly farther apart than at any time since the highly publized sparring began...

As for obama’s television address, as is my usual practice I will skip it. I really don’t feel like being subjected to afflictive images and sounds at the end of the first day of the work week, or to hearing my own inevitable rant. And I can find out what happened (if anything) on the Internet, so I will not be an uninformed citizen just because I don’t watch Soebarkah on TV.
Too cowardly to use the Oval Office but cynical enough to worry about which room is used. Does he think Mabel in Topeka really cares about the East Room?

Its really scary when you think on it. I’m certain a great many other presidents have “thought it”. Some, no doubt, may have expressed it in a very close and trusted circle. But in a public address ???? !!!!
Do we need any more “proof” of our President’s contempt for the nation/people/laws and constitution he swore to “protect and defend “ ???? !!!! >PS
