I agree.
The problem is that if Boehner doesn't get 100% of what he wants, many Tea Partiers yell "cave" but I'll take 90% any day.
Again, I agree.
I am encouraged to see how much we are getting. Obama is much weaker than he appears.
When Speaker Boehner said in effect it's a waste of time to negotiate with jello a tsunami hit DC. I think Speaker Boehner just gets stronger and more confident. He is the one driving the agenda and going with the short term fix adds to that control.
obama was playing his game of trying to step in at the last second and act like the only "adult" in the room. He was just "knee capped" and I don't see him recovering. Here on out I expect Congress to just send him the papers to sign there is no need for the spoiled brat to be in the room.
This appears to be true at least for the time being and maybe from here on out.
I think Boehner's winning strategy is coming up with multiple plans while the Dems sit back and wait to attack (to employ Alinsky strategy). Problem is, they never get to attack because there are too many plans coming at them at one time.
“I think Speaker Boehner just gets stronger and more confident. He is the one driving the agenda and going with the short term fix adds to that control.”
IF he gets his plan through and signed, they will be saying that. It’s a tall IF though; Reid is balking as is Obama.
Pass it through the House, call it a day, stand back and watch the Democrats freak out.
