Never happen. Obama could get caught funneling taxpayers' money into his personal checking account, and he wouldn't be impeached. He could shoot John Boehner dead on the Capitol steps in front of 300 witnesses and 100 TV cameras, and he wouldn't be impeached. His political party and his MSM press corps would obfuscate the facts until they'd convinced half the country that what happened didn't happen.

You're right, both because "reporters" are profoundly ignorant of economics and because they're totally in the bag for the Democrats. It reminds me of Nucky Thompson's empire on "Boardwalk Empire."
And that is exactly what I fear would happen, as you know the drive bys would put on a full court press to blame the Republicans, and far too many sheeple would buy it. (Sorry, the poll I saw where supposedly 56% want a balanced approach to the debt ceiling (read tax increases as well as spending cuts) really has me depressed).

And that's saying something. We're just talking about a basic understanding of economics and yet they still have no clue.
Most of those so-called reporters are no more than ambulatory indictments of our entire system of higher (and, for that matter, elementary) education.
