ATLANTA (CBS ATLANTA) - The former deputy superintendent of Atlanta's public schools will find out Monday whether she gets to keep her new job.
The Desoto Independent School District, in a suburb of Dallas, TX, is scheduled to vote on whether to keep Kathy Augustine as its new school chief.
The board selected Augustine as superintendent last spring. Her job is now in doubt following revelations that she is a key figure in the investigation stemming from allegations of widespread cheating in Atlanta public schools.
Sandra Wheeler, a member of that board, was angry.
"We should've been notified about that right up front." Wheeler said. "If I'm going to interview someone who's under investigation, that should've been told to us before we even got to her."
Georgia investigators have accused Augustine of being one of the top administrators to cover up cheating. One hundred and eighty teachers and principals are also accused.

Racial politics at its finest
They won’t, if she’s one of Eric Holder’s People.
I think she’s not which would mean she’s in real trouble.
My bad, she's safe.
Georgia investigators have accused Augustine of being one of the top administrators to cover up cheating. One hundred and eighty teachers and principals are also accused.
According to a report by investigators Augustine was responsible for aiding and abetting then superintendent Beverly Hall in falsifying, misrepresenting or erroneously reporting student evaluations on the 2009 criterion-referenced competency tests
Sure looks like her hours in the new job are numbered.
After seeing the pic, she’ll probably get a promotion.
Surely, somewheres on the application she filed, she was asked if she was ever arrested, convicted, or indicted, or is now under any indictment, investigation, or anything that could reflect badly on the school district...These type of affadavits are standard in most any job search at that level....so she lied in writing somewheres..Also, I assume the Texas board did a backgroudn investigation...whoever they hired to do it..they shoudl demand a refund..
A head-hunter probably shopped her around.
The woman should be in jail. She should be barred from working in the field of education.
And so, the cancer spreads to Texas!
The cancer has been here for years, especially in the Dallas Independent School District.

All students, teachers, and administrators in the Atlanta School System are probably going to be unemployable for the foreseeable future.
The lady raising hell is also a holder people, so I would say it is 50/50.
Only the white ones.
She’s a cinch to be Obama’s next Secretary of Education.
“The woman should be in jail. She should be barred from working in the field of education.”
Oh, I think somebody will hire her...someone looking for a “results-oriented” candidate...:)

We have some of it down here as well, time to cut it out!
