“Once the Senate Democratic leadership blocked “Cut, Cap, and Balance,” House leaders stepped up work on the new proposal”

That is a mistake. You passed your CC&B, the SENATE refused to raise the debt ceiling. Should’ve left it at that.

“Work on the new proposal was underway before negotiations with the White House blew up on Friday. Sources say the plan was being created last week, even as the House leadership devoted considerable time to passing the “Cut, Cap, and Balance” proposal.”

Whoever cannot read the stitches on the fast ball knew that is true i.e. the half hearted support of cut cap and balance was showmanship. Bonehead even said as much when he said they had another plan when CCB was voted out. Kind of like playing poker and showing your adversaries you hole cards.

It will be interesting to see what Weed, er Reid, does because a failure to act will be on his shoulders and then the asshat who said he would NOT accept a short term extension of the debt ceiling. That part of the plan is great because it puts the ball in their court where it should have always been. Why we ever got in “negotiations” with the asshat at all is a mystery to me.

When the smoke clears and if this goes exactly to plan there will some damage to the Tea Party people because they may have to eventually go against their campaign promises, I am not happy about that, as I am sure the RINO’s are elated. (.)zero will portray this as going along with a bad deal because he had no choice. Former Senate Leader, come January, Weed probably sees the handwriting on the wall but knows he will be there for four more years nonetheless.
