TV 2 know that the 32-year-old terror accused Oslo man has confessed to having published the material on the web. There are sources in the police confirming this to the TV 2
Anders Behring Breivik (32) Prior to the attacks, published a long manifesto and a video on the Internet, where he describes the attacks he was about to perform.
Both the video and the document is apparently published online on Friday 22 July - the day the attacks occurred.
"Marxist Hunter" It is about more than twelve minutes long video, which Behring Brevik compare themselves with Knights, and encourage a year-long war against Marxism and Islamism.
He has also published a manuscript of 1,500 pages which he explains very extreme political views. In addition, he describes in detail how an attack to be carried out. Everything from the use of the car bomb of the type of equipment to be used in an attack.

I don't know. People seem to be spending more time on "right wing extremist" than the details of the story. It's like the facts behind the story are irrelevant compared to the "right wing hate" angle.
It's like the Oboma administration claiming a terrorist attack is not a terrorist attack in less than one minute after it happens, because he wants to show sensitivity to a muslim. It's like blaming the Tea Party after the congresswoman got shot by a left wing psycho.
I suppose it would be best to wait until the whole story comes out. The left jumped on this one a little too fast, and that's always a red flag.

Just made an interesting discovery in his manifesto...
He was on steroids.

My question: where did this guy acquire the skills to carry out such a coordinated and sophisticated attack on his own?
Hate to be a broken record, but any possible question you'd have about the guy is answered in his Manifesto; I realize 1,500 pages are hard to go through (and the US media is ignoring it in favor of his almost content-free Facebook and Twitter pages.)
The answer: He's a smart guy who planned this for years, did a lot of research, and practiced a lot.

I would bet a dollar fifty that the guy probably fell deeply in love years ago with a beautiful young liberal leaning Norwegian girl who didn’t love him back. Take all the background away and these things are often really due to personal things.

Yeah, I’ve felt the Unabomber is probably the best comparison to this guy that’s out there. Breivik is far more socially active and less isolated, of course.
That’s essentially contradictory. You don’t acquire these skills just by reading books and surfing the web. He put together sophisticated, chain reaction devices which were extremely powerful. If he planned and practiced for years, someone else has to at least know about this guy’s “hobby.” Someone advised him along the way about points that he couldn’t clarify just by reading books.
No way this guy pulled this off on his own without any help or advice along the way in the planning and preparation process, possibly even the execution phase.

The alternative method described:
Buy aluminium bars/ingots or profiles from a forge/supplier and file these metal bars down to powder using specialized cryo filing drill bur and renting a high powered drill. If, in the future, intelligence agencies counter and start monitoring forges then alu scrap is also an option. I did significant research on this area and concluded: the optimal aluminium filing drill bit is the following:
Brand: Partsmaster, nch.com, Cryo phase, nitrid/carbid/cobalt burrs, ball nose cylinder 13mm, recommended drill RPM is 7000-38 000. They cost 130 Euro in my country. I haven’t yet tested it but according to my calculations you should be able to generate at least 1kg of alu powder per minute (2 hours = 120 kg vs manual filing would take 112 hours for the same amount). You should probably dip the burr in ice water every 20 sec to prevent overheating, but I will have to double check this with supplier. We don’t want the burr to crack.
Note: when filing; ALWAYS use a 3M mask with particle filter and create a 1m3 “work chamber” using plastic sheeting to prevent spreading alu particles all over the room/area.
Cost: 2000 Euro for 150 kg, shipping included. You can probably get 100 kg un-processed alu bars from 1000 Euro.

Thank you for stating that this fellow is smart. I have yet to see anything he's written indicating he's insane. People do bad things and are not insane. But this guy was no lamebrain by any means.
I am fast believing that this guy knew exactly what he was doing and in every detail what he hoped the expected outcome might be. I also believe he was intent on being heard worldwide and knew this atrosity would bring that to him.
He did not fire at the helicopters overhead....which indicates he was seeking an audiance.
