Boehner was too soft on the trust question. How does one trust a negotiations partner 1) who reneges on an agreement, and 2) who lies to interested 3rd parties about the negotiations?
O’bummer desperately wants this subject not to come up again until after the election. That is his only interest (AND to get the Repubs to raise taxes so he can use that against them in the campaign).
