It is possible that this "man-caused disaster" was an isolated incident in which the terrorist happened to be a follower of the religion of peace who misunderstood the love that characterizes true Islam.

One of the security experts on the BBC I was listening to this morning named right wing extremists in Norway as the number one possibility... Al Queda and Qdaffy where lower considerations on his list.

The words ‘Muslim’ or ‘Islamic’ were notably absent in any event.

Well, there you go. NOBODY knows what sets a jihadist off, maybe even the very inoffensive attitude that the Norwegians have demonstrated to the Islamic world as a whole. After all, the Norwegians DID apologize for one of their newspapers running some rather innocuous cartoons - six years ago. And they have, for the most part, welcomed the incursion of Muslims from Africa and the Middle east with open arms. To the degree, almost, that the cultural integrity of this Nordic land is now seriously threatened.

Shar’ia law is openly proclaimed in some quarters in Norway already, and this seems to be a test of whether such beliefs shall be allowed to propagate. The imams in the mosques simply regard the Norwegians as dhimmi, inferiors in their own land, and subject to the whim of Noble Islamic Gentlemen. This strategy has worked well in France, with large-scale resistance to the French culture by the Islamic Horde seemingly effective in establishment of larger and larger Islamic communities, whole cities and districts.
