Prince and Charlomane Leonard sat together in a Houston courtroom on Wednesday, anxiously waiting for a judge to decide their family's fate. With hands clasped tightly, the couple occasionally whispered to each other, biding the time before their turn to approach the bench.
Unknown to them, in the lobby on the other side of the court's double doors, their six children also were sitting, waiting and hoping that their family would all be together again.
It had been more than a month since Child Protective Services caseworkers found the family living in an eastside storage shed and removed the children from their parents' custody, citing unsafe living conditions as the reason. Unless I missed it, I see no reference whatsoever to their faith and how that impacted their lives in this shed. Betcha that had alot to do with their lives and a story without faith inclusion is incomplete and bad writing.
Notice the respect one of the boys showed his mother when she asked him a question. He said “Yes, ma’am.” You can see from the way the interact that this is a family that will be successful.
May God bless them!
These folks deserve to be cheered and supported -- not being laughed at for their names their parents gave them, etc.
(Wish we knew the story of how they got their "new home"...)

I mean they we’re using a composting toilet.
Shouldn’t the govt reward them for being “green” ?
So if they can pay for a 4 bedroom apartment now, why couldn’t they 6 months ago???
I do wish the family all the best.
However, I find it hard to believe that “Quanell X” is the name that was given at birth.
Quanell X is a well known black muslim activist in Houston. He’s done some very dippy stuff, but some good stuff as well.
This sounds like one of the good ones.
His noxious presence did nothing but detract from the natural, God-given goodness of this fine family.
