A Suffolk Grand Jury has indicted former South Boston state Rep. Brian Wallace and his campaign treasurer on charges of failing to report thousands of dollars in campaign contributions, the Attorney Generals office said today.
Wallace, 61, and his treasurer, Timothy Duross, 50, of Boston, is accused of failing to report $6,345 in campaign contributions in 2008, representing 17 percent of his total contributions. Neither Wallace nor Duross were able to produce receipts or other backup documentation when asked to do so, according to the AG.
Wallace was first elected Southies state rep in 2003 and opted not to run for re-election last year, saying he wanted to focus on his family and pursue a writing career.
Duross was appointed treasurer for the Committee to Elect Brian Wallace in 2001.

No mention of party usually means Democrat. If the guy was a Republican, it would be mentioned in the first sentence.
All the voters look for here is that (D) on the ballot.
He is a democrat. I just wrote the reporter and mentioned that if he were Republican that he would be touting that for two weeks.
I’m sure intrepid reporter Chris Cassidy just somehow missed Rep. Wallace’s political affiliation. /s
Good for you!! Tell them conservatives are their friends - we just want to keep them honest. ;)
If he were a Republican, chances are it wouldn’t have happened in MA!

Yep!
I do that all the time with the local news site here about the democrat (Of course, they barely mention it) in Colorado who killed a pregnant woman in Texas on the road.

I will give the Herald a pass on this. The reason is that Southie means Democrat. You could fit the Republicans who live in Southie in a phone booth. And when Whitey was loose a phone booth was not the safest place to be.
I kinda like it...when they come to Maine and we charge them a lil extra...They start to wonder...lol..I tease the hell out of em..I'm not dependant on them...but I love to know how they think and why they are up here......
