A group of activists — angry that Dr. Bachmann referred to gay people as "barbarians" — styled themselves in the manner of (rather delightfully campy) barbarians, then proceeded to sprinkle shiny confetti all over his clinic. Previous glitter-bomb "victims" include Newt Gingrich and Tim Pawlenty. This might not be the stateliest form of civil rights protest in recorded history, but it's probably the shiniest and most difficult to vacuum up. [Gawker]

Well, if they were happy, they wouldn't need to do this. And if they are unconflicted, then what's to worry about? And if they have a sense of humor, why isn't this funny for those who get to try to clean this up?

Civil rights protests were rightfully against government sanctioned violations of natural rights.
These on the other hand are attacks against the civil rights (free speech) of other citizens.
These a violations of, not protests for, civil rights.
Some conservatives should start protesting the glitter-bombers over their reckless disregard of the environment, what with their non-biodegradable littering. Then who will the lefties support, the gays or the eco-nuts?
