Without running, Palin stays near top of GOP field

Sarah will be free of jury duty at the end of the month and free of ethics charges from her time in office next week. She should give Obama a presidential sized bellyache on his birthday and announce on August 4.

I'd be surprised if she would choose Obama's birthday. In reading Going Rogue, it's striking how much emphasis she puts on historic dates. She made the announcement of her run for governor on Alaska Day (when Russia turned over Alaska to the US), for example. Her love of history shines throughout the book. I suspect she'll do her best to pick a date that has some significance in American history.

August 2 is the anniversary of the formal signing of the Declaration of Independence, to throw out one possibility.

LOL! Even without officially throwing her hat into the ring, Sarah Palin is still sucking all the air out of the race. No wonder they hate her on the east coast. She’s screwing up their plans. It’s enough to make a RINO get religion, just so they can pray against her.
