The president of the National Urban League plans to tell President Obama on Thursday that hes worried a deficit deal could end up hurting social programs.
The NUL chief, Marc Morial, and the NAACPs president, Ben Jealous, are scheduled to sit down with Obama briefly in the afternoon.
"I'm concerned that a false link between raising the debt ceiling and reducing the deficit could result in unnecessary deep budget cuts to social programs," Morial said in a statement. "Deficit reduction is a priority, but reckless budget-cutting in response to a manufactured crisis could sabotage the recovery. What the nation's 14 million unemployed need most right now is a job creation policy."

Well, Dah!
It's the social programs that have created the deficit in the first place you muttinhead.
There is no solution to this mess. The crash will come one day. This time they’ll just postpone it.
Parasites
Ain't got no rights!
A lot of money intended for levee repairs in New Orleans went missing during the Marc Morial administration, as did citizen’s complaints about leaks in the levees.
Marc Morial is top tier vile in the vile and corrupt mayoral bracket. A truly vicious, ‘down low’ little fella.
It's okay though...he's Black.
It's racist to hold Black people responsible for anything.
ENOUGH!
Say the brotha to the Massiah: Dontcha be cuttin’ down on da free skittles to the peeps, yo. Ya don’t want the ———— burnin’ down the hood, jus keep the check in da mail.
That Louisianians gladly forked over to the NAACP. Of course, there are those in New Orleans who would love to have him back (and it they could resurrect his father, him too)but these folk voted for obama too so you know where they stand. Otherwise, good riddance of rubbish.
I believe he classifies himself as ‘Creole’, which in New Orleans means old, established, high yellow family with airs, which is not the classical definition. I’ve met him. I can count on one hand the number of people I instinctively detested so much. “Reptilian” is my overwhelming impression.
