Fox News Poll: More (Most) Say Obama Administration Making Economy Worse
Fox News ^ | 7/20/2011 | staff

Obama’s overall performance as president, and by double-digit margins they not only think the economy is getting worse, but also that it’s the Obama administration’s fault.

Some 45 percent of voters approve of the job President Obama is doing, while 46 percent disapprove, making this his lowest approval for the year so far. Previously, the president’s job rating was split evenly 46-46 (June 26-28, 2011).

A year ago, 43 percent approved and 48 percent disapproved of the president’s performance (13-14 July 2010).

These are just some of the findings from a Fox News poll released Wednesday.

Approval of the president among Democrats currently stands at 76 percent, which is just one percentage-point higher than his record low 75 percent approval among the party faithful (December 2010).

Among independents, 44 percent approve and 46 percent disapprove of Obama’s job performance.

Voters are more than twice as likely to say the economy is getting worse than to say it is getting better. The new poll found 58 percent of voters think the economy is getting worse. That’s up from 52 percent who felt that way last year and 42 percent in 2009.

When I was a kid, my hometown made everything. A boy graduating from high school had three choices for his future: 1. Go into the service; 2. Go to college; 3. Go to one of the many factories in town and get a job, marry your high school sweetheart and start your life. Jobs are gone, along with the factories and we wonder why we’re in the shape we’re in…the USA needs to “make stuff” again…people would go back to work and pay taxes and the problem would be solved.

My son just lost his job again. No construction work in FL.

Not only are the businesses closing, but the old guys are telling the young ones to totally get out of the business, because between government and illegals professional builders are being destroyed.

Making the Economy Worse?? You mean by having 10 "big drilling rigs" in the Gulf leave. Shutting down coal in West Virginia? Telling Texas it has to curtail energy production? Why would anybody think these actions, and others like them, would make the economy worse????? /sarc

I just can’t understand how his approval rating have IMPROVED from last year. We truly live in a stupid society that values “celebrity” more than anything. Pitiful.

Taking a look around, yes things are getting worse, and judging by the actions that the government have been taking lately, it is deliberate.

The fascist onslaught by obama continues.

My favorite football coach of all time Steve Spurrier used to annoy our rivals after a big win.."Yea I guess that recruiting ranking was good for a touchdown". His snarky comments used to infuriate people, the punchline was as our rivals were getting accolades in media and with the college football pundits, while we were beating them by 4 touchdowns. I hope the pundits like Juan Williams can crow about Obama's sky high popularity as some filler material waiting for Obama to give his concession speech. These polls are oversampled with Dems and can be phrased to get any result you want. All I care about is the electoral map. So what if 90% of the drones in California, New York and Msaascusestts love the Magic Mulatto. Bush Senior had a 71% approval rating and we know how that turned out. 40% is his floor, that has been established, so you add in a media fluff factor and playing with the numbers and they will NEVER show him below 42%..NEVER. This is a psyop operation by the MSM to bolster his hapless and hopeless reelection effort. Barry is going to lose next year, been over for a while, the MSM has to come to terms with that. A black guy, all due respect o Herman Cain will not sniff the white house again for 200 years.

Today, a prime example of American Exceptionalism ended...on this Bozo's watch and with his encouragement.

We are definitely in worse shape and the deterioration continues!

“Go to one of the many factories in town and get a job, marry your high school sweetheart and start your life.”

When I grew up in Tampa in the ’60’s and ‘70’s there were several dozen chroming shops where you could get anything chromed. The EPA shut them down and dozens of jobs disappeared. The corner gas stations with one mechanic and two bays were driven out by regulating what you could charge for gas. Then new model was to sell beer and cigarettes and just provide gas as the traffic generator. The gas stations were immediately taken over by small businesses, who thrived until the EPA stepped in and declared them all hazardous waste sites. Whether they were or weren’t suddenly the new owners had to take the tanks out and if there was leakage, they owed millions for cleanup. The new businesses disappeared overnight. Then Congress passed the Americans with disabilities act; obsoleting every business site in the country. Lawsuits got outrageous settlements and more marginal companies went oout of business because they couldn’t afford insurance.

Regulations, lawsuits and union thugs showing up to organize your workers drove many businesses to countries where they could do business without those issues.

The Democrats are doing everything that they can to hold back, control, hamper, regulate and steal from businesses and those who start, own and run them. Ergo they are doing everything they cab to destroy the economy.

45% approval:

Goldstein has been sabotaging the economy. Our courageous Fearless Leader is doing all he can in the face of Goldstein’s co-conspirators, greedy bourgeoisie businesses, speculators and profiteers.

Take away white guilt and replace it with pure honesty and that 45% would be halved.
That's why in the privacy of the voting booth and not in response to a pollster you are afraid may think you racist, the election of 2012 and Obama’s humiliating and MASSIVE rejection by the American people is going to SHOCK—I said SHOCK, the experts.

The country is still divided in half. But, more importantly, Obama doesn’t really care what his “approval” ratings are.

Who cares about ones' ratings when you're on vacation?
