Yeah the headline makes no sense. Anyone of average intelligence would understand that abstinence refers to pre marital sex not no sex ever even after one is married.
I have not paid attention in many years but the ‘Rythm Method’ of abstinence during fertile periods was the only approved means of birth control for Catholics - during marriage too.
