It’s Alinskyfying the argument. On the surface it would seem that if Sarah Palin preached chastity that an unchaste act by her offspring is a scandal, but only superficially. Sarah Palin isn’t her children’s perpetual boss into adulthood, though one would hope they would learn wisdom rather than in the school of hard knocks.

There are some kids who learn from others’ mistakes, and some who have to learn on their own...no matter who their parents are and no matter how well raised they were.
