I saw the story on news 14 Carolina in the doctors office. They had not yet had an update. Thanks. It sure wasn’t a jelly fish and God knows that s painful enough if you don’t have vinegar or urine handy. Had to be a shark. Ongoing fishing tourneys up and down the coast are all reporting them 25 miles out. I wonder why the sharks ad Dolphins are feeding so close. The heat? El Nino Beano Dino? <——making fun of the name.

Might be warm water from the Gulf Stream, IDK.

July 4th weekend we went to the beach on Saturday and Sunday. On Saturday we went to the Navy base at Dam Neck in VaBeach. Water was warm there. On Sunday we got up early and drove to Rodanthe, north of Cape Hatteras because I wanted to go 4-wheeling in the sand. Water was cold there. Significantly colder. But that is north of where the Gulf Stream goes out to sea. The other thing surprising this year is the lack of jellyfish in the Chesapeake Bay. Usually by this time of year we can’t even go tubing in the bay because of the jellies, and last weekend didn’t see a single one. We were diving off the boat and swimming in deep water.
