CONCORD, N.H. (AP) In spite of his thundering speeches against big government, Texas Gov. Rick Perry has a troubled relationship with the tea party, a rift increasingly obvious as he gets closer to a presidential bid.
Tea party groups from New Hampshire to Texas are collaborating to criticize Perry's record on immigration, public health and spending and his former affiliation with the Democratic Party.

In the last Texas governor’s race, the “white” Republican candidate, Rick Perry (BTW, isn’t Perry a common
Melungeon name?) was darker complected than the “minority” Democrat candidate, Tony Sanchez,
who was very obviously of the Caucasian race, with fair skin, blue eyes, and, at a younger age, light brown hair.

I’m just tired of the same old globalist crap.
I don’t have to spam in Ron Paul links - sane people already realize he’s a nutcase and a rank hypocrite on earmarks.
I’ll take Perry over 0bama.....
And I'll take Perry over lefty Ron Paul, too. That's who truthfreedom is trying to sell.
When Rolling Stone does a hatchet job on Rick Perry (trust me, they will) it will be time to declare him a major candidate.
Can you find an article about loony truther Ron Paul?
That old geezer probably thinks Gardasil is a window protectant.
Karl Rove says he and consultant David Weeks persuaded Rick Perry to switch parties and run for state agriculture commissioner
Texas Gov. Rick Perry draws mention in GOP consultant Karl Roves autobiography with attention
focused on Perrys win for lieutenant governor in 1998 and Rove’s role in his pivotal earlier
switch from the Democratic to Republican party while he was a third-term member of the Texas House.
Rove writes: Rick Perry had planned to retire from the legislature until his best friend,
David Weeks, and I talked him into switching parties and running for the GOP nomination for
agriculture commissioner. His book, “Courage and Consequence, My Life as a Conservative
in the Fight,” was published March 9.
Heck, Rolling Stone had the kenyan klown on the cover so many times, I was this close to throwing up. Whomever RS trashes, I will vote for.
I'll listen to critiques from actual Republicans instead, thank you.
And Perry isn't even my first choice.
While I was in Houston last year undergoing my major cancer surgeries and rehabilitation afterwards, I saw Rick Perry go to San Antonio and meet with La Raza and basically pander to them to try and get their vote.
I like a lot of what Perry does, but that really upset me and made me question the depth of his commitment to conservative and republican principle.
IMHO, it was a pretty disgusting occurance. Actually, kind of surprised me. I was raised in Texas, buyt have been gone quite a while and am not as familiar with Perry’s history and background as I ougth to be.
I had, to that point, felt he was pretty good...despite misgivings over the entire I35 corridor, Highway of the America’s or whatever they are calling the NAFTA highway these days which I also have trouble with.

Yeah like I give a rats whatever about Gardasil. I hope Perry throws his hat in the ring. It will certainly stir things up. What do we have to lose? I am not impressed with any of the other candidates running and that includes naive politicians like Bachmann who is reduced to defending medications for migraine headaches when her opponent, Obama, won’t release any of his medical records.
