Ah, I stand corrected.
The valid question will be to Bachmann is if she accepts this belief. I also know that she just quit that church so she is trying to distance herself from it just as Obama distanced himself from the wacko-Wright.
I think if you look it is not too hard to find unacceptable views in almost any church or synagogue in its dogma.
Funny how this always seems to happen to any Republican candidate on the rise, isn’t it?
Is this something they wrote down hundreds of years ago and never really thought about after - or was this something that was part and parcel of their teachings (Bob Jones University style) in the modern era - and while Bachmann was attending?
I know passions ran high ‘back in the day’ - and it was not enough to say that the Catholic church was corrupt, misguided, didn't have a monopoly on salvation, etc (all too true IMHO); nope - they had to go the extra mile and say that the Catholic Church was the conclave of Satan and the Pope the ‘Vicar of Satan’ the AntiChrist himself, etc, etc.
Bless their hearts for ‘going the extra mile’ back in the day - but no reasonable modern person could hold that the Pope is the Antichrist and be expected (or at all likely to) represent those 24% of Americans that are Catholic.
As far as the media and their treatment of the issues, ignoring the beam in 0bama’s eye while focusing on the mote in Bachmann’s - if it wasn't for double standards - those bastards wouldn't have any standards at all!
