In late July 2010, Rep. Michele Bachmanns then-communications director, Dave Dziok, told his boss that he planned to take a new job with the public relations firm Edelman.
Dziok had worked for Bachmann for two and a half years, a relatively long period by the standards of her office, and was leaving on good terms.
Staff turnover can frustrate any employer, but Bachmann responded more dramatically. Dzioks departure triggered a debilitating medical episode that landed the congresswoman in urgent care.
Within 24 hours she was in the hospital, a former aide says.
Bachmann was admitted to a Washington, D.C. hospital on Friday, July 30, and released that same day. She flew home to Minnesota to recuperate, missing a scheduled campaign event with Sen. Roy Blunt.

Who’d ever think a Mormon would be that catty.
Well, it’s the politics of personal destruction, sweetheart.
Yep. It's from Tucker Carlson's site. Tucker, the wimpy girlie man. The RINOs and GOP elites attack one conservative after another. We can easily see our enemies in panic mode.
they will ask for her medical records...Bachmann will refuse and then from there who knows who blinks first or how this is managed. Ignoring it may be the best thing she can do since its real early in the primary season but if a rival candidate raises the question then it may be trouble
oh no!! Could it be????
It must be that “female hysteria” that old rino’s never suffer from right?
It sounds implausible, made-up tabloid stuff. Maybe she takes eight pills a day — aspirin, that is.
“the cake lady.”
She’s sounds sweeeeeet!
She’d go good with a dairy queen, maybe one from MN.
No, no, no, I mean Michele... NOT that guy in a tu-tu protesting outside her office and eating yogurt.
Smells like horse hockey to me.
To be fair, it is different today.
Today you have approximately 30 minutes to make a life or death decision on behalf of the nation.
If you're zonked on Oxycodone to kill the EXCRUCIATING pain of a severe migraine, you are not in a position to make those kinds of decisions.
If stress brings them on and the result is debilitating migraine followed by pain killers, then she's just not presidential timber.
Still, I wish they had presented her with the story days in advance and given her time to respond cogently.
It smells dirty.
Prolly turn out to be something like going to the emergency room to have a cut stitched.
The GOP has pointed a loaded pistol at their foot, cocked it, and pulled the trigger. The weapon has already discharged, but currently the projectile is somewhere between the weapon, and the foot. Eventually it will strike that foot and blow a hole in it and severely cripple them, and when it does, they’ll realize what they’ve done. Of course it will be too late, but all the same they WILL shoot themselves in the foot.
I have debilitating migraines that are unpredictable, intense, and put me down for 24 hours or more. If she has such intense migraines, she has absolutely NO business running for POTUS. She needs to address this story. The public has a right to know if the migraines are as serious as the sources claim.
Might not be Romney. It could be someone else’s work.
BINGO!
Somehow this hasn’t stopped her from a “whirlwind” campaign schedule, where the audiences won’t wait for her and she has to be on time for them. I say the accusations are bunkum.
Yum.
The more she gets bashed the more I think she is who Zero is afraid of.
Sounds like Tucker got his gay bravado on tonite...
Still, if she's been hospitalized that many time for the same debilitating condition in that short of a timeframe, we need to know more about it if she wants our vote for POTUS.
We, the American People need enough information to make our own decisions on whether she is fit...based solely on whatever criteria we choose.
It's no secret that I am not a fan of Bachmann, but if it was down to her and another GOP candidate down the stretch I could pick her. But I would want to know more about this condition and it's affect on her.
This is the CinC job for crying out loud.
