Does it seem to anybody else that there is kind of a disconnect between the leadership and the membership in the House? And tension between the Senate and the House? And a bit of a patronizing attitude by the Senators toward the House? It appears to me there just is NO party unity.

There just seems to be no consensus on how to counter what is obviously a naked power-grab by the executive from the legislative branch of government. Are our elected house representatives incapable of writing legislation themselves? There was a time when if a senator tried to pull off what McConnell and Coburn are trying, the Speaker would have gone nuclear on them. He would have TOLD them where the bills originate.
