I simply disagree with a balanced budget amendment. It will result in a California mentality of.. oops we are out of money so we must increase taxes, by law. It does not work.

I think the BBA being pushed includes spending caps and a 2/3 majority to raise taxes.

It will result in a California mentality of.. oops we are out of money so we must increase taxes, by law. It does not work. There is no such law in CA. The RATS can pass whatever budget and spending bills they want by a simple majority, but they still need a 2/3 vote (two pubs) in both houses and the governors signature, or voter approval to raise taxes. So their spening bills don't mean jack if they run out of money to pay for them.
