JACKSON, Miss., July 16 (UPI) -- A Mississippi woman accidentally shot and killed her husband while aiming at a pit bull witnesses said was going after some children, officials say.

That’s awful. RIP poor man.
Good excuse!
No gun control.
“Misfired”? Or couldn’t aim to hit the broad side of a barn? (It does look like a tragic accident.)
MEMO TO SELF: Get a pit bull before you do it!
How do we know she was aiming at the dog!
I Been Missin’ You
Darlin, I know I been actin’ strange
It ain’t been easy,
I been missin’ you,
So I’ve spent time at the range ...
There’s no accidental discharges when someone gets shot and/or killed.
Especially with a revolver.
I appears that the dog “Cocaine” was unharmed.
Exactly; no information yet on which side of the guy’s body the bullet entered.
Calling 1-800-JOSE-BAEZ.
I know plenty of people who attest to the good-naturedness of pit bulls, but I wouldn’t own one to save my life. If one stopped me from drowning, I would shoot it dead in return.
Here’s a TV interview with the son of the deceased:

Dog Gone it!
I think she was listening to a Pat McCurdy song:
“Imagine a Picture of Me and You (Only You’re Not it it)”
I’m a patient man
you know I am
but you’re pushin me to the limit
Imagine a picture
of me and you
only you’re not in it
It’s an endless fight
I’m wrong, you’re right
there’s no way I can win it
Imagine a picture
of me and you
only you’re not in it
Where was her husband standing in relation to the dog?
I hope there have never been any domestic abuse calls to 911 from their home or she’s toast.
God rest her husband. This is sad.
The son is interviewed here (video) and gives an account:

The son said his father was HOLDING the dog when she shot the dog and he jsut looked at her and the son ran to hold him as he was dying.
Dear graceous, what was wrong with this woman? Shooting the dog while her husband is holding it. Did she think the bullet wouldn’t go thru the dog into her husband. This is so so sad.
