The rights of the patients are unimportant. Only the rights of busybodies who believe they have the right to control your end of life decisions.

In terminal pain and agony? Tough. Bummer. You didn't fill out the correct paperwork or jump thru correct hoops and now you will suffer 'cause we said so. According to them, the government not the individual controls the highly personal end of life decision.

While the busy bodies are not related to you, and don't want the suffering in their own lives, they are perfectly will to impose their will on you. Suck it up and suffer.
