I was suggesting a special, probably unauthorized, cozy relationship between the federal government and AARP. My guess is that the Social Security Administration gives mailing lists of all persons over 50 registered with Social Security and eligible for benefits. This is a an effective way for the AARP to get members and funding. In return, the AARP advocates and lobbies for ever-expanding Social Security and Medicare benefits, and opposes any efforts at retooling these programs to address the national deficit and debt.

I wasn't thinking in terms of medically-oriented charities getting mailing lists from each other, or from the government, which probably goes on as well.

Knew what you were saying, just wanted folks to know that the gov’t is selling their medical info to charity orgs.

Hubby had to tell the idiot from the same diabetes org 5 times there WASN’T a diabetic in the house. PN is not just a disease for diabetics as you know. Seems if the fatty tissue in your feet atrophy’s you can develop PN. Fibromyalgia wasn’t bad enough, this one had to crop up too.

I will be glad when they get this second nerve block done on Tue...L 3-5 with 5 being the worst are bulging. And being off all my arthritis vits and minerals for 2 weeks has brought the muscle pain up to intolerable level and left my temper a little short of patience.
