Screw the AARP. Join AMAC instead. They have the insurance et al

What is AMAC? My supplemental carriers dropped me last year. The best plan I could find was AARP MedicareComplete. It has the same plan # as my plan last year which I'd have to go look up what it was called. I decided to get proactive and try to find the best plan myself. I told them I didn't want anything to do with AARP. The agent tried to convince me that it wasn't really AARP, but I didn't believe it. So I didn't sign up.

Then my son who sells ins looks into what they were recommending for their seniors this year. AARP MC, the same plan I found. I said well I can call and sign up then, but he said if I went through him he'd get the commission.

I don't know if there is a reliable better deal out there for next year.

I never joined AARP. As a govt worker, they started on me early, finally gave up lol. In those days, I thought they were probably a benign organization, just don't like more piddley payments for dues. They didn't have anything I wanted really.
