Since they are still producing 60# and 75# I’m sure one of them can put in a line for 100#.I’d even bet one of the closed factories may start calling worers back to work....hey look Obama really may create a real job that didn’t cost us $178,000!
GE was the last manufacturer of conventional light bulbs in the USA.
Somehow, I suspect their politics will preclude re-opening their factories. It will be up to some other manufacturer.
The last US factory that was making “real” bulbs closed recently, and I doubt it will reopen. The damage has been done.
This isn’t about saving energy (whatever that means - we use energy, we don’t save it), it’s about GE and Sylvania making more money by selling expensive bulbs. It’s a con.
